CAMPGROUND RULES

Revised and amended October 2009

1) Opening and Closing Dates: Camping year begins April 15th and ends November 1st. Water and electricity will be turned on April 15th and turned off on November 1st.

2) Garbage: Do not litter. Put all waste into garbage bags and deposit in the dumpster. If it will not fit in a garbage bag, do not put it in the dumpster. Please help keep the campground clean by picking up any trash you find around the campground. It is up to all of us to help keep the campground clean.

3) Fishing: Fishing privileges are for members and their guests only. To be a guest the member must be here. All fishing is regulated by the laws and rules of the State of Illinois. Anyone over the age of 16 must have a fishing license.  Each campsite (not individuals) is limited to keeping three (3) fish per day, no matter how many people are fishing from the campsite. Do not throw any trash into the ponds, please use the appropriate trash barrels.

4) Swimming: Swimming privileges are for members and their guests only. No swimming allowed before or after posted times. All swimmers must remain within the ropes. Swimming is at your own risk; there is no life guard on duty. Parents are responsible for supervising their children when swimming. Sand toys are available for your use, but please pick up when done. Please use the shower located at the beach to rinse off sand. Do not track sand into the shower house.

5) Firearms: All firearms, including BB guns are prohibited in the campground or on the landlord’s adjacent property. No hunting, trapping or killing of any animals in the campground or on the landlord’s adjacent property at any time. Heed all "No Trespassing" signs on adjoining property.

6) Accidents: The campground association, known as Timbered Meadows Campground Association INC, will not be responsible for any accident of members or their guests, on or around the camping area.

7) Trees: No cutting of any trees shall be allowed by anyone at any time without the permission of the campground manager. If a tree is removed, a new one must be planted to replace it.

8) Extra Buildings on Permanent Lots: Buildings shall be no larger than 14’ x 16’ and used for storage purposes. No concrete may be poured. All buildings must be removable. You must get permission from campground manager before you put in the building.

9) Permanent Lots: Lots are for one trailer or camper only. Tents are allowed for temporary camping by family or guests. If you are having someone else staying at your campsite you need to let the campground manager know.

10) Respect: Respect the rights of your neighbors. Keep music turned down. No teenage camping or parties are allowed unless supervised by a responsible adult.

11) Alcoholic Beverages: Timbered Meadows has no rules prohibiting alcoholic beverages. No alcoholic beverages are to be consumed by anyone under age 21. All others are to drink alcoholic beverages responsibly. Loud parties will not be permitted.

12) Lot Appearance: Each lot is to be maintained by keeping the lawn mowed and keeping it neat and orderly. No storage of vehicles or other such items will be allowed. All lots must have leaves removed within 14 days of the campground closing. Between November 1 st ond November 14th. On November 15th the owner will inspect the lots if they are not clean he will assume you want to pay $50.00 to have your lot cleaned. The $50.00 will be added to next years lot rent. 

13) Front Gate: The front gate will be locked from November 1st to April 14th. Each member will be given a key for the lock on the gate. No overnight camping allowed.

14) Pets: All pets must be kept on a leash. Campers must pick up pets waste.

15) Speed Limit: The 10 MPH speed limit will be strictly enforced. Stop signs are installed and the speed limit of 10mph will be enforced with a 3 step disciplinary process.

16) Golf Carts and ATV: All vehicles operated after dark must have lights on. Four-wheeler operators must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Four-wheelers must obey the 10 mph speed limit and are not permitted on the landlord’s adjacent property. Golf cart drivers must be a minimum of 14 years of age to drive the cart unaccompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 14 can drive if accompanied by a parent or grandparent. All passengers must be seated on a seat. No golf cart will be driven after 10 pm by children. Owners of all recreational vehicles will carry liability insurance to cover any accidents that may occur.

17) Pavilion: All activities for the pavilion must be approved through the Campground Manager. All activities must end by 12:00 midnight. Music speakers must be set up on the north side of the pavilion facing the south.

18) Fireworks: No fireworks allowed at the campground.

19) Electricity: Turn off all patio lights when retiring for the night and turn off the air conditioner in your camper/trailer when not at the campground to conserve electricity. Electricity is the campground’s largest monthly expense.

20) Shower House Rules

a) No playing in or around the shower house.

b) Parents must supervise children taking showers

c) Limit showers to a maximum of 10 minutes. Show consideration for fellow campers.

d) Do not track sand into the shower house. Use the shower by the beach to rinse off sand.

e) Please place all paper products in the proper receptacles.

f) Turn off water when finished

21) Quiet Time: Quiet time starts at 12:00 midnight. You need to be at a campsite. You can stay up all night but you need to be quiet. If you are at another campsite when you are done for the night you can go from that site to your site.

 

Anyone not abiding by these rules will be warned. If the member still does not abide by the rules, their membership in the association will be terminated without a rebate of membership dues and that member’s lot will be cleared of all personal property.
